Fernando specialises in tax law and has more than 25 years of experience. He began his career at the law firms Ramón y Cajal Abogados and Cuatrecasas, where he discovered the pace, talent and possibilities of professional practice in the tax field. After this period, and after having prepared for the competitive examination for the tax inspectorate, he decided to move into the private sector, where he has consolidated a solid career advising national and international clients on direct and indirect taxation, international taxation and inspection procedures.
Since 2013 he has been a partner at Benow Partners, a tax boutique where he leads the Individual and Family Business Advisory Area. His practice includes the planning and execution of corporate restructurings, tax audits (due diligence), regularisations and assistance in disputes before all administrative and jurisdictional bodies. His approach combines technical expertise with approachability and dedication, values which, he says, represent the essence of Benow and why he enjoys his work every day.
In addition to his professional work, he has accompanied large estates in restructuring and tax planning processes, as well as international companies and groups in complying with their tax obligations in Spain. For more than seven years he led courses and gave lectures on key tax law subjects at different academic institutions. He is also the author of various publications and contributions to specialised media, which reinforces his commitment to dissemination and the continuous updating of his expertise in a constantly evolving field.
